News From IJSBA National Tour: Racine, Wisconsin

The gorgeous North Beach of Racine, WI was our destination this weekend for the Grand Prix of Watercross and as always the folks from Real Racine put together a fabulous event.  Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and because of a massive fog bank that rolled in on Sunday we were forced to stop racing.
Hydro Turf Freestyle Report

We were able to run both Hydro Turf Freestyle competion and Sunday's action was as close as any we have had all year.  Jeremy "Parr Diddy" Parr said, "Jason keeps pushing me every week and I think it was to my advantage to go right before him and put pressure on him."  It is hard to say if that is what propelled him to the win or not, but Parr run was solid through and through and even though "The Destroyer" ripped some huge tricks he had a lull in the middle of his routine which cost him a few tenths in the judges eyes and he had to settle for a second place finish.  Michael "Rad" Ratti was tied with Parr going into the second day of competition and after his run he briefly occupied the top position but when the fog settled he finished third.  Our amateur competitors also put on a spectacular show in the Hydro Turf Freestyle extravaganza.  Alexander Petrovic launched a massive back flip combo that actual brought the crowd to the their feet along the shore and Johny "Left Hand" Leftly went for his first competition back flip nearly landed it.  It was clear the amateurs are taking notes from our pros and have been doing their homework.

Pro-Am Runabout Open

The Pro-Am Runabout Open Class did get one moto in for the weekend and the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Dustin Farthing was the top finisher with Riva Racing Erminio Iantosca claiming the 2nd spot and the Dean's Team Yamaha pilot Dustin Charrier rounding out the top three.

Giving Dad Dustin, some fun time with his kids on Fathers Day!
Pro-AM Ski GP

In our Pro Ski GP class we also had a Monster Energy rider at the front of the pack.  Chris MacClugage took his MAAC Racing Quakysense ride to his third first place finish of the year.  Rick Sherker rode well on his Jettribe powered machine and nailed down the second spot.  The inspiration of a new baby helped propel the Watcon.com rider Jimmy Cebulski to another podium finish just in front of the Walt's Motorsports Raceski.com racer Rob Flores.

Note: Chris Macclugage did not make himself available for interviews giving the UWP-IJSBA National Tour the opportunity to highlight our up and coming stars! Pictured above Alec Hohnadell, 2011 Expert Ski Limited Champion in Racine, WI
